Izzy von Lichtan The music is so familiar, and yet it has its own unique qualities. For lovers of Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream and the like will sure to love this album as much as I did.

Carsten Pieper Well, if you enjoyed Robert channeling early Oldfield on his Sanctuary albums AND if you also have a knack for early Jean Michel Jarre you will most surely have very much fun with this project. As with the Sanctuary albums, Robert is copying or more nicely put, reviving the style/spirit, not the music (he also aimed for Vangelis and period Tangerine Dream, but mostly this is JMJ style).

PS The DVD with the surround arrived this week. Another spectacular 5.1 mix by Rob :-))

Wayne Martin Robert Reed knocks it out of the park once again. At once familiar-sounding, but also a gorgeous piece of art in its own right, I unhesitatingly recommend Cursus to all lovers of long-form, conceptual electronic/progressive music. Through nigh-on 50 years of enjoying progressive music of many shades, Robert Reed's projects all set very high watermarks indeed. I am deliberately eschewing comparisons, because with music this heartfelt there really is no point. Just buy it and improve your life!

This is the most beautiful symphonic progressive music I have heard since I first heard Yes' Magnification nearly 20 years ago. Robert Reed's orchestrations are magnificent, and are very much on par with Trevor Rabin's film scores as well as Larry Groupe's score for Magnification. I am a french horn player, and his soaring horn parts are some of the best I have ever heard. For some reason I could not select Part1: Sacrifice as my favorite track. It is indeed my favorite. luckeydoug1

I received the vinyl version of "For king and country" today through justforkicks Germany. Such a wonderful album in this rerecorded version. I did own the Si-music version on CD many year ago, but sold it for reasons back in the days. This new version is a complete different thing. A real gem. It brings back memories and is something completely new and different at the same time. Happy have the digital version as well for my outdoor music time. Thanks a lot. Mr. Richman jr.
